What gets measured gets done. In our first year back as an independent Yahoo, we measured where we are and did short-term work to enact immediate changes and accelerate growth. But with room to grow, we’re setting aspirational, achievable goals for 2023 and beyond that will fuel our culture of belonging.

Blueprint for the future

We’ve got big goals, here are some of the ways we’re looking to achieve them. It’s a list that will grow and evolve as we constantly check in with our people on what’s working—and what’s not.

Measuring up

The way diversity has been measured in the past is not reflective of the full-breadth of the word today. Starting in 2022 and a focus for 2023 is expanding self-identification options around gender, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation and pronouns for our employees.

Boosting ERGs

Plans are in the works to host an in-person ERG leadership summit to educate, celebrate achievements, and set a stage for more collaboration. We’ll also roll out new compensation plans and career development that reflect the extra work and contributions of ERG leads.

Hire calling

We’ll continue to increase partnerships and outreach to connect underrepresented talent with opportunities at Yahoo.
