Yahoo Sports Expands Golf Coverage in Partnership with GOLF.com, Golf Digest, Pro Shop, and SportsGrid’s The Smylie Show

A new hub on the Yahoo Sports website will be fans’ one-stop-shop for golf news, analysis, commentary, instruction, and more.

Note: Verizon Media is now known as Yahoo.

NEW YORK, Sept. 18, 2025 - Yahoo Sports is bringing together some of the biggest brands and personalities in golf media to launch a new home for comprehensive golf coverage.

Powered via new partnerships with GOLF.com, Golf Digest, Pro Shop, and SportsGrid’s The Smylie Show, this golf hub on the Yahoo Sports website is a standalone destination aimed to help fans better follow – and play – the game they love. All coverage in the hub will be available for free; subscriptions to GOLF.com and Golf Digest+ are not required.

The hub features written and video coverage from the following publishers:

  • GOLF.com, the most widely viewed brand in golf, will contribute golf news, instruction, equipment, travel, and lifestyle coverage. This includes popular editorial franchises such as Tour Confidential, Monday Finish with Dylan Dethier, and Hot Mic with James Colgan, as well as video series such as Destination Golf and GOLF’s Subpar with Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz.
  • Golf Digest, the No. 1 authority on How to Play, What to Play, and Where to Play, will deliver a mix of news, instruction, equipment, and travel coverage. Fans will find signature franchises like the annual Host List, trusted course rankings and guides, and expert tips from the game’s top teachers, as well as video favorites such as Every Hole At, On The Tee, and Film Study with Luke Kerr-Dineen.
  • Skratch, the digital media arm of Pro Shop, will distribute coverage at the intersection of golf and culture. This includes full episodes of Dan on Golf, hosted by pro golf insider Dan Rapaport, Vanity Index, hosted by Full Swing creator Chad Mumm and Bachelor Nation favorite Wells Adams, Course Café, and Gear Smart. Skratch will also share short form video content such as Adventures in Golf, hosted by Erik Anders Lang, Skratch U, and On the Bag.
  • The Smylie Show, a show from SportsGrid hosted by PGA Tour winner and current NBC on-course commentator Smylie Kaufman and co-host Charlie Hulme, will also be available in the Yahoo Sports golf hub. The show features expert golf insights and analysis, as well as conversations with key figures throughout the sport.

In addition, the hub will feature PGA Tour highlights and original golf reporting from Yahoo Sports.

“We’re excited to team up with the most trusted and entertaining voices in golf to create a new destination that covers the sport from every angle,” said Jon Shaw, Yahoo Sports Head of Revenue and Partnerships. “This hub will help fans better understand what’s happening inside the ropes and off the course, and hopefully help golfers shoot lower scores – or at the very least, enjoy the game a bit more.”

As interest in both watching and playing golf continues to rise, this hub creates new opportunities for advertisers looking to reach this growing audience. Brands will have access to media placements across the content available in the hub.

The Yahoo Sports golf hub is available today on the Yahoo Sports website: https://sports.yahoo.com/golf/.
