TORONTO & NEW YORK (June 13, 2024) — The Hockey News and Yahoo Sports have announced a strategic partnership involving editorial integration, syndication and exclusive video content. The partnership also calls for Yahoo Sports technology to power TheHockeyNews.com advertising and sales integrations, including on its new NHL team community platform built with Roundtable technology.
The Hockey News will become the primary hockey content provider for Yahoo Sports, the internet’s leading destination for comprehensive sports news. Yahoo Sports will distribute The Hockey News content across its platforms, guiding fans to a wide range of hockey coverage produced by a dedicated team of journalists reporting on every NHL team.
“The Hockey News is delighted to announce this new relationship with Yahoo Sports,” said W. Graeme Roustan, owner and publisher of The Hockey News. “This technical, distribution, and monetization partnership will drive ‘The Bible of Hockey’ to the next level, ensuring The Hockey News continues to be the most respected source for true hockey fans.”

TheHockeyNews.com, which includes a digital network of 32 NHL team destinations, 13 specialty channels and some of the league’s top NHL breaking-news coverage, reaches an audience of over five million monthly hockey fans and is on pace to generate more than 100 million annual video and page views for the season.
