Yahoo News Launches Personalized AI-Powered Audio Feature, Your Daily Digest

Yahoo News is launching Your Daily Digest, a new AI-powered feature that delivers a personalized audio summary of the day’s top news stories directly in the Yahoo News app. The feature combines Yahoo’s editorial curation with AI-driven recommendations and personalization to create a tailored listening experience for every user.

Currently available weekdays from 12–5 p.m. local device time, Your Daily Digest offers a quick, six to eight minute summary of top stories curated for each user spanning lifestyle, entertainment, current events and more. Currently available weekdays from 12–5 p.m. local device time, Your Daily Digest offers a quick, six to eight minute summary of top stories curated for each user spanning lifestyle, entertainment, current events and more. Each digest curates top stories from the categories each listener engages with most, using personalization to ensure each daily summary  feels timely and relevant.

“As audio consumption continues to rise with more than two-thirds of Americans now listening to on-demand content, we’re evolving to meet users wherever they are,” said Taj Corinaldi, VP of Product at Yahoo News. “Your Daily Digest delivers a personalized summary of the news throughout the afternoon to help users stay informed however it fits into their day.”

The new feature follows the recent launch of The Morning Briefing, Yahoo News’ morning audio digest and sets the stage for an evening digest coming soon. These audio features help users cut through the noise and stay informed throughout the day, whenever and however they prefer.

Your Daily Digest is available in the U.S. in the Yahoo News app on iOS and Android.
