Yahoo Finance Launches Premium Experience With New Content and Tools

The World’s #1 Finance Destination Expands Offering for Investors with New Programs, Creator Debuts, News Partnerships, and More

Note: Verizon Media is now known as Yahoo.

Yahoo Finance is launching a premium experience with new content and tools, expanding its offering for investors of today and tomorrow with new series, subscriptions, news partnerships, creators, and more. As the #1 finance destination, reaching more than 150 million global monthly visitors, these new updates serve the needs of more investors, helping them build wealth and inform financial decisions with confidence.

“For more than 25 years, Yahoo Finance has been trusted as the guide behind the investor community. With new programs that meet people where they are, expert takes from influential voices, and greater access to information and tools often restricted to industry professionals, we can better serve the needs of investors of today and tomorrow, whether they’re everyday consumers or more advanced investors.” said Tapan Bhat, President & General Manager of Yahoo Finance. This milestone reflects the momentum we’re building, but it’s only the beginning.”

Launch of the New Yahoo Finance Experience
After months of iterating, the new experience offers simplicity and functionality with more useful tools and informative content. This includes video and news hubs to keep up with markets and other information, a customizable dock to track portfolios and trending tickers, a 360-degree portfolio view to see connected accounts all in one place, plus the ability to analyze stocks side by side, access enhanced charts, and more.

The new experience has shown improvements in audience engagement as well as advertiser performance. Yahoo Finance hit an all-time high, reporting its largest audience ever in a single month as well as an accelerated growth rate of visitors, which is now outpacing the rate of internet adoption by 4X as future investors come online.* The enhancement of more premium ad space has also shown strong performance for advertisers, yielding greater click-through rates and ad performance nearly doubled, up more than 85% – and in some cases even higher.**

Enhanced Programming Lineup & Content
Yahoo Finance is also rolling out a lineup of premium content and programming with new shows, conversational podcasts, and expanded coverage of global events, high-profile newsmakers, and specials dedicated to timely topics and influential moments.

New series include, Wealth, the first flagship show from Yahoo Finance focused on personal finance, Catalysts, which will analyze economic data to help investors navigate their portfolios (launching 4/29), and Asking for a Trend which dives into the influential trends of the day (launching 5/20). New podcasts will launch on April 22nd, available to watch or listen on Yahoo Finance, connected TV platforms, and more. These include Opening Bid, a daily morning show focused on hot market perspectives and inside scoops, hosted by Brian Sozzi and Stocks in Translation, a twice-weekly show hosted by Jared Blikre, featuring A-list strategists decoding the day’s market moves. A new next-generation production studio is the centerpiece of this premium content strategy, built to allow for omnichannel and remote production capabilities.

The Yahoo Finance newsroom is supplementing its talent line up with rising star creators joining the programming lineup. The combination of traditional journalists and creators is unique in the financial space and will start with the creator of the Maconomics brand, Ross Mac (@imrossmac), who will contribute to on-air segments, explainer videos, and more.

To build upon its highly engaged audience, Yahoo Finance is also launching a new partnership with Morning Brew. As a first step in the partnership, Yahoo Finance will air the Morning Brew Daily video podcast - a daily talk show hosted by Neal Freyman and Toby Howell covering the latest news on business, and the economy - every weekday at 8am ET through its connected TV channel and associated platforms.

New Premium Subscription Plans
On April 22, Yahoo Finance will debut a lineup of three premium subscription plans offering greater access to premium tools, research, content, and market and financial data, each uniquely designed to meet the needs and budgets of different investors.

  • Bronze Plan: Designed for everyday investors, the Bronze Plan aims to boost insights and allows tracking portfolio performance, diversification, and risk exposure.
