Introducing Yahoo for Creators: A New Publishing Platform, Launching in Beta

Creators can build their business by publishing stories that reach the vast audience of Yahoo News, serving up new content categories in a fresh format for readers

As the news landscape evolves, the role of creators is more important than ever as brands and media companies find new ways to partner and build deeper relationships. Creators continue to grow as a leading source of information and content and the creator economy only shows signs of upward momentum. 

Today, Yahoo announces the beta launch of Yahoo for Creators, a new program giving writers an all-in-one platform to publish, monetize, connect and grow their businesses, by sharing stories to the Yahoo News network of *more than 185 million monthly U.S. visitors. In addition to elevating vetted and established creators, the stories they share will allow Yahoo News to expand into new content categories presented in a fresh format. The program is designed to provide more trusted, quality content that further enhances the experience for Yahoo News readers, broadening into more lifestyle topics such as fitness, travel, home, DIY, style and more. With a new suite of tools, creators can grow their brands, audiences and revenue, and readers can more easily access the content they want to see from even more of the voices they want to hear from - credible, thought-leading, content creators. All content will be held to Yahoo’s content guidelines and standards.

Yahoo for Creators will launch in beta today as an invite-only platform with a small group of creators. Upon launch, which is planned for later this year, creators will be able to apply to join.
