Yahoo’s Global Accessibility Policy

All Yahoo products, properties, media, services, marketing, advertising, communications, and procurement will conform to globally accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility. Human resources activities (recruitment, talent acquisition, onboarding, training and accommodations) will adhere to industry best practices for inclusion of people with disabilities.

Yahoo’s Multi-Year Accessibility Plan

2025 – 2027

We're always finding new ways to make our products better for our users and our multi-year Accessibility Plan focuses on strategies to remove barriers and make our products more accessible. Yahoo’s inclusive designers work directly with product designers to build accessibility into our products from their first release and monitor conformance throughout the product life cycle.

Product

Objective: Eliminate basic accessibility issues from Yahoo products and support conformance to accessibility standards and guidelines. Improve accessibility conformance levels (e.g., from “Partially Supports” to “Supports”).

How we make our products accessible:

  • Design inclusive new products, features, updates, components, and features
  • Evaluate product accessibility with automated scans, manual testing, and user studies
  • Record findings and recommendations and address identified issues

People

Objective: Ensure inclusive employment processes for recruitment, retention, and development within Yahoo.

How we do this:

  • Inform employees and potential employees of Yahoo’s commitment to accessibility and availability of accommodations
  • Ensure availability of accessible formats and communication supports that take into account an employee’s accessibility needs
  • Take employees’ disabilities and accommodation needs into account in respect of performance management and career development
  • Ensure processes are in place to support employee/workplace accommodation requests following absences from work and during an employee’s employment
